Should we have our own email server?

Not essential for 10 people or less, but it does have some advantages.

For example, your mail becomes centralised and so can be backed up each day; messages sent between members of staff are processed locally and don't have to make a round trip across the internet; and Exchange (the email server from Microsoft) offers extra facilities beyond basic email such as shared calendars and tasks.

Exchange is included as standard with the Microsoft Small Business Server.
